About
Bioinformatics Hackathon is an event where scientists, programmers, and data analysts come together to collaborate and solve challenging problems in bioinformatics. During the hackathon, participants will work in teams to develop innovative solutions to complex biological problems using computational and data-driven approaches.

Event Statistics


The event has been successfully held for three consecutive years in St. Petersburg.

In 2019, the Bioinformatics Hackathon BioHack had fierce competition, with four participants competing for just one spot. A total of 30 projects were submitted, and 22 were selected to move forward.

  • IBRE is an early-stage international startup that aims to connect researchers, students, and professionals in the field of bioinformatics. The IBRE team has a successful track record, previously founding and developing for 10 years the renowned Bioinformatics Institute before relocating to Serbia, USA, and Armenia, and founding IBRE.
